The initiative of a multinational group of professionals to meet and share experiences on a regular basis resulted in the establishment of the non-profit Association of European Science & Technology Transfer Professionals. ASTP is practitioners and members focused and is growing rapidly; our association consists of more than 500 members, covering 35 countries. The majority of our members are Technology Transfer Professionals at public knowledge institutions.

In order to facilitate the exchange of ideas and expertise, and to strengthen the network of our members, ASTP organises meetings with a high standard of presentations and discussions throughout the year. These meetings vary locations within Europe and consist of the Annual Conference in the spring, the Fall Seminar and the Training Courses in January.  Additional one-day Workshops on specific subjects, as well as Site Visits are organised throughout the year, whereas the Executive Forum always takes place the afternoon preceding the Annual Conference.

Our mission
The mission of ASTP is to professionalize and promote technology and knowledge transfer between the European science base and industry.
